A New Standard in Retina and Comprehensive Ophthalmology
What is a membership retina practice and how can it help me?
-
Have you ever waited over an hour to see your retina specialist, only to spend just a few minutes with them? Then you called with a follow up question but were told to come in again or wait days for a call back?
-
Do you dread the pain of repeated dye tests and eye injections, and hope you get assigned to one of the more skilled technicians to make your visit more bearable?
-
Are you tired of missing work or important events due to downtime from eye dilation?
-
Do you want to optimize your retinal health and protect your vision for as long as possible through expert care and advice at your fingertips, like having a doctor on retainer?
Beacon Retina is a membership-based practice designed to prioritize your health, respect your time, and eliminate the frustrations common in traditional eye care. Our patients invest in expansive services beyond insurance plan coverages to optimize their healthcare experience.
To become part of our practice, an annual membership fee is charged for exam and communication services that are not covered by insurance. For covered services, insurance is billed.
To maintain exceptional service, membership is limited. Once the cap is reached, we will utilize a waitlist.
This subscription style of healthcare, with a focus on prevention and health maintenance, has been trusted for decades by high-level executives. You, too, deserve this caliber of care for your visual health.
What is it like to be a member?
At Your Visit
You’ll experience unhurried, on-time appointments with our full attention as we don't double book. All procedures are personally performed by Dr. Wong without assistants or trainees, ensuring consistent results. She will also work with you during procedures to tailor the approach that is most comfortable for you (e.g., numbing technique, etc.). We also use advanced, non-invasive tools like OCT angiography and non-contact laser to minimize discomfort.
Surrounding Your Visit
After your exam, you can choose dilation reversal drops to quickly restore your vision. For follow up visits, you have the option to self-dilate at home before you arrive to save time. We also offer early morning and evening hours for your workday convenience (just ask when you book). Online self-scheduling is available.
At Home
Dr. Wong is reachable by phone, email or text on her direct line, which is provided to all members. Virtual consultation and house calls can be utilized for certain conditions.
Preventive Care
As part of our commitment to health maintenance and disease prevention, you also receive an annual, comprehensive, 10-point assessment covering the front to the back of the eye. The purpose is to detect invisible signs of eye disease and act early to maximize your long-term vision potential. We call this the Beacon Insight Profile, a 360-degree view that includes advanced diagnostic tests not typically performed at a regular eye visit.
If you have a retinal condition that requires ongoing care, and you value a proactive approach with direct communication in a comfortable setting, then Beacon Retina can help you.
